After a year of romance, Selena Gomez is now officially engaged to record producer Benny Blanco.

Gomez announced the news through an Instagram carousel post showing her engagement ring with the caption “forever begins now.”

In a statement on Tuesday, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)-listed company said it held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new facility in Quezon City last August 29.

Meanwhile, global stock markets diverged as traders assessed the outlook for interest rates in the United States and Europe and looked ahead to the release of fresh consumer inflation data on Wednesday.

Artist friends expressed their congratulations for the couple in the comments. Jennifer Aniston commented “Honey! Congratulations sweet mama!” while Taylor Swift, fresh off her Eras Tour, said “yes I will be the flower girl.”

Brands like Selena’s very own Rare Beauty also shared their well wishes. Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” account also chimed in, saying “Congratulations! Wishing you a lifetime of magic together.” Gomez started her music career with Disney, singing the theme song for the Wizards series.

The couple reportedly started dating in the summer of 2023, then officially confirmed their relationship later that year. Before becoming romantically involved, Gomez and Blanco had already collaborated in 2019 on the song “I Can’t Get Enough.” They then worked together again on “Single Soon.” 

Aside from his work with Gomez, Blanco has also produced tracks for Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Justin Bieber. 

Gomez was also recently nominated for the Golden Globes 2025 as Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Musical or Comedy for “Only Murders in the Building.” She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for “Emilia Perez.”pogo88
