MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out at a warehouse in Parañaque City on Saturday morning, leaving it totally damaged, the government’s fire agency said.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) said in a report that the blaze started at a warehouse along West Service Rd. Irene Ville 2, Brgy. Marcelo Green, Parañaque City.

BFP-NCR’s report noted that the damaged area was approximately 500 square meters.

He also said that the resources used to extinguish the fire were fucntioned well.

The BFP-NCR said estimated damage to property is P17,500,000.

Authorities said the fire hit the first alarm at 9:24 a.m. and then the second alarm at 9:27 a.m.
Firefighters said they were able to control the blaze at 10:09 a.m. and finally extinguished it at 11:32 a.m.
In an interview early this week, DTI-Export Marketing Bureau Director Bianca Pearl Sykimte said the agency is now putting up the FTA Information Portal and Origin Management System.
Initial investigation showed the blaze originated from the right rear portion of the warehouse. The cause of the fire, however, is still for further investigation.
